Aggressive Dogs Are Dangerous Dogs, No Matter the Size

Aggression Reduction Dog Training MilwaukeeMost people associate dog aggression with Pit Bulls, Rottweilers and other large dogs, but even a small dog like a teacup poodle can seriously injure people. Aggressive dog biting is a problem no matter the size, as small dogs can still bite people in the face or finger and potentially cause serious injuries. If your dog reacts aggressively to people or other dogs, you have a dangerous dog and need to address the problem before it’s too late. Contact Rogue Dog Training for a free consultation to determine the best course of action for you and your dog.

What Dog Breeds Can Be Aggressive?

Aggression is not limited to one breed, size or temperament. Any dog can become aggressive due to fear, territorial behavior, poor socialization, possessiveness or past experiences. Rogue Dog Training professionally evaluates each dog as an individual, then builds a reward-based training plan to safely reduce unwanted reactions. We work with aggressive dogs from multiple popular breeds, including:

How Do I Know If My Dog is Aggressive?

Knowing the difference between excited and aggressive dogs is crucial for preventing animal attacks. Dogs bark for many reasons, but aggressive barks are usually deeper, rapid and more guttural than excited barks. Showing teeth, especially while growling, is a dog's way of flashing its most effective weapon to intimidate a perceived enemy. Nipping without breaking the skin is usually the last warning before a bite or series of bites. Do not interpret your dog's displays of aggression as play. If your dog is willing to show its teeth or nip you and your family, it is an aggressive dog and will bite sooner or later. Rogue Dog Training's ABCDT-certified dog trainer will come to your house and begin reducing your dog’s unwanted aggression so you can live together peacefully.
