Rogue Provides Many Options for a Lunging Pharaoh Hound
Dog: Bogart
"Steve has recently helped me with my 3 year old Pharaoh Hound mix, Bogart, that I rescued. My initial hope was to stop Bogart from showing signs of over-stimulation when greeting (or seeing) other dogs, such as lunging and barking. But after the first visit, Bogart was walking on a loose leash without even being prompted. Not only did Bogart learn a lot of basic commands and redirecting behaviors from Steve, but I learned so much that I will carry into the future when continuing to train Bogart. What I enjoyed most about Steve was that he tried many different tools (all that worked!) with Bogart and really let me decide what would work best. As Bogart continued to have some "focusing" issues, Steve suggested that I try using a vibration collar to help with the focusing commands. While I am very opposed to any sort of shock collar, this vibration collar works wonders and does not harm the dog in any way. Steve even made another trip out to help teach me how to use it correctly! From starting with a dog that couldn't be around any other dogs without making a scene, to now having a dog that will stop on verbal command at the dog park, I would recommend Steve to anyone looking for a great dog trainer!" - Katie G.
